Excuse how dumb this video is, I was 1) a little worse for wear, 2) looking for my friends who’d vanished, and 3) having to deal with some drunk dude who wouldn’t stop following me all night, but this is a video we took last night after the gig of the project book. Apologies for the quality and again, how much of an idiot I look, but I hope you like what I was able to do with your submissions!
I saw Gus at the afterparty and handed the book over, alongside all the presents you guys had sent in, and although he didn’t have time to look through it just then (too busy having fun!), he was really excited to sit down and look through them and was very grateful for the fact that so many people were involved in this. So on behalf of Gus, the rest of Young Guns and I suppose myself…thank you so, so, so so SO much for being a part of Project Young Guns! x
P.S: Don’t worry if you can’t see your own submissions, they’re all there or with the gifts. There were a lot more photos but because of the size of the book, I had to put some of them in envelopes alongside letters that each person had sent in. But they’re all there and the band now have them!
So, I don’t as current have a video, but we did record one last night at the venue. My lovely friend Laura filmed me (drunkenly) showing the book off, it’s a sketchy video to say the least but at least you guys get to see it! Warning in advance for the strange drunk guy who keeps trying to talk to me, he wouldn’t go away. Ooops.

A few weeks ago this was the exact position I was in with the last project. At this exact hour! Just so you guys know, it is now 100% complete, minus the fact that I have to bind the book in the morning. Sadly I’ve not been able to film a video tonight but will do either before I leave, or when I arrive at the venue and meet some friends that’re in it.

In putting the last ‘few’ bit of the project together, I’m realised just HOW MANY LETTERS WE’VE RECEIVED! This is mental! Thus is the amount of letters that I’ll be binding some together with ribbon and putting them inside the gift box - letters outweigh presents anyway, so it’ll be nice to balance them out a little bit. Fingers crossed I’ll get a video uploaded tonight, otherwise I’ll record one before I go to bed/in the morning before I leave and have it uploaded at the weekend. Can’t wait for you guys to see it!!!
It’s been a whirlwind few months since Young Guns received the last project that over 100 of you took part in (they loved the dvd and giftbook we made for them, and still have it in their practice room!), but since early October we’ve been working on yet another project to give to the band at their show at the University of Hatfield TOMORROW.
The response this time around was just as good as the last, and I’m honestly overwhelmed by the amount of love and support you guys have for the band. They truly are the luckiest boys in the world and I’m sure that they’ll adore all the presents, letters and emails, photographs and artwork you’ve all been so kind to share with them. I’m just putting the finishing touches to each page of the book before I bind it all together - hopefully a video of it will be available online by the end of tonight!
Once again, thank you so much for making his whole thing so worthwhile. From a personal aspect, it’s been a pleasure getting to know some of you and make such great friends (some of which I’ll be seeing at the show tomorrow!), and a heartwarming experience seeing just how much love you all have for something that means a lot to me too.
I’ll keep you posted on how the project is received by the band, and like I said I’m hoping to have a video of the book itself uploaded on this here page by the end of tonight. Merry Christmas, you lovely lot!
